Company introduction

HoloHouse is a non-profit organization that works to promote sustainable development through collaborations between academia and the business sector. Since 1997, they have initiated and managed sustainability projects by pairing innovative university students with experienced companies and organizations in need of expertise in sustainable development. HoloHouse has created value for over 6,800 students and 2,200 organizations through more than 3,150 projects.

The Competence Boost is a project run by HoloHouse and funded by the Fyrbodal Association of Municipalities, the University of Väst, and the Västra Götaland Region. The project focuses on promoting a sustainable transition by strengthening companies' competitiveness and increasing their attractiveness for new investments and future skills development. 

The Competence Boost offers various opportunities for university students to get involved and contribute to making Fyrbodal more sustainable, including through thesis work, internships, and course projects. The project focuses on areas such as identifying skill gaps, creating skills supply strategies, mapping companies against the Global Goals, assisting companies with CSRD-related issues, circular economy, and more.

Join our project "Competence Boost for a Sustainable Future," an initiative where you, as a student, can play a central role in transforming Fyrbodal. This project offers a platform where your knowledge, innovation, and creativity can directly contribute to achieving the global goals for sustainable development. By collaborating with companies and community organizations, you will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world situations, challenge the status quo, and contribute to meaningful change. Our vision is to elevate and work with skills supply issues within the Fyrbodal region to accelerate the sustainable transition.
