Sammanfattning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I denna litteraturstudie unders\u00f6ks hur olika yrken, egenskaper och kompetenser uppfattas och
v\u00e4rderas men \u00e4ven hur f\u00f6rest\u00e4llningar om k\u00f6n p\u00e5verkar dessa v\u00e4rderingar. Resultatet utg\u00f6rs
av underlag fr\u00e5n olika studier som framf\u00f6rallt ber\u00f6r \u00e4mnena yrke, status och arbetsmarknad
men \u00e4ven olika studier om k\u00f6nssegregering, genus och oj\u00e4mlikhet. Utifr\u00e5n dessa studier
lyfter jag fram och diskuterar hur det tycks finnas en till synes stabil yrkeshierarki i samh\u00e4llet
som \u00e4r ett resultat av maktf\u00f6rh\u00e5llanden mellan olika grupper i samh\u00e4llet. Jag lyfter ocks\u00e5 hur
det enligt sociologerna Lennart Svensson och Ylva Ulfsdotter Eriksson finns en avvikelse
mellan vilka yrken som har h\u00f6g status och vilka yrken som m\u00e5nga anser \u201dborde ha\u201d h\u00f6g
status i samh\u00e4llet och hur detta pekar v\u00e4gen f\u00f6r en mer r\u00e4ttvis f\u00f6rdelning av status och l\u00f6ner i
samh\u00e4llet. Med hj\u00e4lp av Pierre Bourdieus begrepp \u201dsymboliskt kapital\u201d illustreras \u00e4ven hur
vissa yrken, egenskaper och kompetenser erk\u00e4nns som v\u00e4rdefulla i olika sammanhang p\u00e5
arbetsmarknaden och i samh\u00e4llet och att dessa \u00f6verenskommelser h\u00e4nger ihop med makten
att definiera vad som \u00e4r v\u00e4rdefullt. Jag lyfter \u00e4ven hur f\u00f6rest\u00e4llningar om k\u00f6n och
omgivningen under individens uppv\u00e4xt p\u00e5verkar individuella val av yrke vilket kan vara en
del i f\u00f6rklaringen kring hur k\u00f6nssegregering uppst\u00e5r. Ut\u00f6ver detta framh\u00e4ver jag hur
f\u00f6rest\u00e4llningar om manligt och kvinnligt har en betydelser f\u00f6r synen p\u00e5 yrkesstatus och att
\u201dkvinnligt kapital\u201d framf\u00f6rallt i h\u00f6gstatusyrken tycks ha en statuss\u00e4nkande effekt i samh\u00e4llet.
Vilket kan f\u00f6rst\u00e5s genom att kvinnorna i dessa sammanhang p\u00e5 arbetsmarknaden ofta
utmanar en traditionell k\u00f6nshierarki d\u00e4r manlighet genom historien utgjort normen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
