. Over the past 5-10 years, the EU has introduced a series of new sustainability laws that place greater demands on companies, both within and outside the EU, to actively address the environmental and sustainability aspects of their operations and products. Even those companies that are not directly affected at the moment need to prepare for the questions and expectations of the companies affected. In a globalised world where value and supply chains are long and complex, many parts and factors correlate and therefore mean that more than expected, will be affected by the new rules.
The EU has laid out a compass of policies, legal framework, incentives and financial contributions to become carbon neutral by 2045. This in turn requires de facto action by everyone - consumers, businesses, public authorities, civil society - to achieve this overall goal. This can be a challenge for businesses. Especially for smaller businesses that do not yet have the skills and resources to address sustainability issues, and for companies in sectors where CO2 emissions are particularly high (transport, oil and gas industries, heating plants, plastics manufacturing, metals), it can be challenging. Parts of the public sector are also affected, albeit indirectly, by the changes, which may require a thorough upskilling of government employees.
As several regulatory frameworks are strongly interlinked, there is value in first obtaining an overview of the framework, its purpose and what can be expected going forward. Thereafter, it is important to acquire more specific expertise where guidance on the reasoning and interpretation of the new rules is lacking.
HoloHouse has developed a "must-have" e-learning of 4-5 hours, providing you with the knowledge you need to get ahead of the new legal requirements.
The training will provide you with:
-
A better understanding of the game plan that the EU is formulating through an ambitious framework in environment and sustainability where we specifically look at 7 laws (CSRD, CSDDD, Taxonomy Regulation, SFRD, Ecodesign Regulation, CBAM Regulation and proposed Greenwashing Directive).
-
An understanding of what you must or should do according to the legal requirements stemming from reporting, mapping, design, tracking and communication requirements.
-
The innovation perspective, based on the motto that proactivity creates better conditions for your business.
